On the Tenth Day of Christmas Recipes: Eggnog or Eggnot?

I consider myself a pretty adventurous eater. I’m willing to try most things and enjoy them equally. But for whatever reason, I can’t get behind eggnog. I don’t think it’s the raw egg part. Who knows what’s really in that supermarket eggnog, but the real stuff, in case you hadn’t guessed,  has egg whites. I can deal with that. I eat home made mayo and make Caesar dressing. I really can’t pin the exact reason, there’s just something about the stuff that creeps me out.

Whether I like it or not, eggnog is pretty synonymous with Christmas. Almost as much as Christmas cookies are. I’d like to say cookies are what children think of and eggnog is the more adult version, but I know PLENTY of adults who’d rather go for the plate of cookies rather than a glass of eggnog.
