Weekly Photo Challenge: Curves

Curvy Garlic Scapes

Curly Garlic Scapes

Even before I became a food blogger, my thoughts were always on food. After savoring each bite of a hearty breakfast, no matter how delicious it was, my thoughts would immediately turn to my next meal. What’s for lunch? What should I serve at that dinner party two months from now? What was in that sauce? So naturally my camera is drawn to the beautiful bites too. We eat with our eyes, just as much as we do with our mouths. Beautiful food just tastes better.

This week’s Photo Challenge was Curves. While I tried to explore new, interesting objects, my eyes were drawn to food. Really, what would you rather look at, an archway or a fresh quart of berries? A weekend visiting family in New Jersey and a visit to Abma’s Farm in Wyckoff presented plenty of excellent (and tasty!) subjects, from fresh berries to just baked pastries. Hopefully you’re reading this on a full stomach. I take no responsibility for food cravings, spontaneous cooking or late night binges.

    • Hi Marilyn, Thanks so much for stopping by! Glad you like what you see. The photo challenges have been really fun, but as I’m sure you can tell, food is my real love. It creeps into everything I do in some way or another 🙂

    • One of the orchards/cideries at the Fort Green greenmarket I visit has them year round. I do my shopping then treat myself with a cider doughnut for getting up so early!
